wibbles greatly

WELL.

I don't know where to begin. Everybody seems nice...sharing a room will be difficult, but it's a pretty nice room, and we took the bunkbeds apart (thank god!)

Yesterday (day 1) we got here, registered (which was easy...and i managed to make friends with a bunch of guys in line with me) then unpacked, and then were convocated. This was this totally serious and cool ceremony, and in the rehearsal I spent the whole time talking to George (next to me in the alphabet).

other, not very interesting things happened, and then we went to Waltz Lessons, which turned out to be lessons in the Johnny Step. (a pretty easy basic sort of swing step) I danced for most of it with George. Because he picked me. ; ). And THEN! After a horribly cold "conversation" with the dean/tutors, we went to the waltz party.

I just typed this whole thing up about the party, and it disappeared. So let it suffice to say that I danced with George and Matt and a sophomore boy, and then a bunch of girls.

I went to bed late, and have oodles of homework...YAY learning the greek alphabet in an hour! Yay the Iliad! Yay Euclid's definitions, postulates, and common notations!

So, I miss you all! Lisa, have a great time at Smith, happy early birthday (i'll try to call you), good luck on the driver's test! Carly, are you enjoying syracuse? Everyone else, I LOVE YOU DEARLY!

in the beginning it was wicked cool. I danced for a while with George, and another friend, Matt, and then with some sophomore, who was way too good for me, but not good enough to lead me through it, if you know what i mean. AND THEN, I danced with a whole bunch of girls. I managed to completely avoid where they were drinking, because i decided i'd rather be dancing. Yanno.

In other news, I totally miss all my friends. The people here are nice and cool and all, but not nearly as comfortable. I haven't had a good hug since my parents left. Lisa, good luck at Smith! Happy early birthday (i'll try to call you!) Carly,
